The
brainchild of designers Gyo Kim and Yuni Chloe, their label, Gyo Yuni
Kimchoe combines sustainable creative choices with luxurious
aesthetics. With consideration for environmental problems, social
issues, exploitation and animal cruelty at the heart of their design
process, Kim and Chloe take inspiration from art, history and
contemporary issues. Gyo Yuni Kimchoe present modern fantasies and
eco friendly myths throughout their collections with directional
tailoring and striking draping creating distinct pieces each exuding
individuality and unique style.
The
designer duo who both hail from Korea, met in New York where Gyo Kim
studied design at the famous Parsons School of Design, moving to
London Yuni Chloe mastered her craft at Ravensbourne College of Art
whilst Gyo Kim continued his studies at the renowned Central Saint
Martins. With Fashion Scout naming Gyo Yuni Kimchoe as this season's
Merit Award Winner, it is an exciting time for this innovative label.
